ARKANSAS WEEKLY EVENTS DECEMBER 2- DECEMBER 8, 2019

Happy Sunday evening, guys! We’re bringing you into the week with our picks for the top Arkansas weekly events. Here’s the rundown..

HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND SOUNDS – THE PROMENADE – LITTLE ROCK – FREE

The Promenade at Chenal animated tree show

The Promenade gets festive bringing your family a tree that even Clark Griswold would love. This animated tree, and it’s a real as Santa, is set to a synchronized light show that repeats every hour on the hour. Show runs from 5pm-10pm, nightly, until Dec 29th. So gents, while you’re holding your wife’s purse, take the kids down to the tree.

Pro Tip: Shut down her credit card for a couple of hours via the endless apps. See how that plays out.

HOMETOWN HOLIDAYS AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO

December 6TH AND 7TH ONLY. $4O/Adults, $35/Children **MUST BUY IN ADVANCE

The Zoo is always on the hustle, and this holiday season is no different. This year the zoo offers a buffet dinner, Christmas crafts, animal meet n’ greets (HEY YO PENGUINS!), train rides, ginger bread house making, and get your family photo with the fat man himself.

CHRISTMAS MARKET AT HEIFER VILLAGE

Saturday, December 7th, 4pm-9pm, FREE

Our friends at the Heifer Village, who are philanthropists for the world, are bridging the gap from across the pond with an outdoor European market geared at all things Christmas. Here you’ll find fair trade items from across the world. Many items are hand made, and if you’re truly looking for a unique gift for your significant other, this may be your spot. Gifts available from local artists and vendors, as well. Light food and drink options available (rum in my Russian tea? YES PLEASE!), so high-five Heifer Village.

Side note: We really want to brag on the the goodwill work that this organization does. If you don’t know anything about them, check this link out: https://www.heifer.org/our-work/index.html

They’re an amazing organization and the world needs more of them.

DAVE CHAPELLE – ROBINSON CENTER – LITTLE ROCK

Friday, December 6th 7pm

Our generation’s Richard Prior. Maybe better. Chapelle brings his comedic mastermind to Little Rock. We’re super upset we don’t have a babysitter and didn’t get tickets in time. Truly a legend and worth whatever they are charging. The show is SOLD OUT. But.. stubhub will have some scalped tickets.

EUREKA SPRINGS CHRISTMAS PARADE OF LIGHTS

Friday, December 6th 7pm

We’re all about some Eureka Springs. Their parades through Spring street are, well, FABULOUS. The town is as close as you’re going to get to a Hallmark Christmas card in Arkansas. The parade is fun and the whole town shows up. Also, Santa is at Basin Park from 1-3pm on Saturday. These guys make a weekend of EVERYTHING and never disappoint. No snow in the forecast, but if there were, that’s the only way this could be any more magical.
